The Honorable Gerry Weiner (Queen’s Privy Councillor)

The Honorable Gerry Weiner is a pharmacist educated at McGill University and Université de Montréal. Gerry is a former minister in the Canadian Government and a former elected member of Canadian Parliament. He was appointed Chairman of Board of Directors for the old Port of Montreal by the Canadian Government in July 2009. As a two-term member of parliament (1984 and 1988) he held the positions; Secretary of State, Minister of Multiculturalism and Citizenship, Minister of Immigration, Member of the Planning and Priority Committee of the Cabinet, Parliamentary Secretary to External Affairs, and Queen’s Privy Councillor.

On the municipal level, Gerry was a Member of the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal, and a Board Member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. He was successfully elected Councillor and Mayor of Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Quebec.

In addition to his role with Kalovida Canada, Gerry is currently the Director of Investor Relations for Altec Global Capital, Corporate Strategy Advisor with APS Application Processing Services, Corporate Strategy Officer with Uniques Software Corporation and an Advisor to Guy Lam and CP Homes.

As a community volunteer, Gerry was President of the Board of the Canadian Friends of Haifa University, President of the Education Foundation of the Canadian Association of Former Members of Parliament, member of the Mount Sinai Hospital Board of Directors, Chair of Board of Directors Centre for Literacy of Quebec, Member of the Board Foundation for Vital Aging, Treasurer of Alliance Quebec, Member Advisory Board Executive Committee Member of B’nai Brith Canada, Member of the Board of CLSC Rene Cassin, and Foundation Member of the Board of Lakeshore General Hospital.

William Jandrisits

William (Bill) J. Jandrisits

Mr. Jandrisits has held senior positions in financial services and private equity with experience in many aspects of the real estate investment and finance.

He spent 8 years as the President & CEO of MCAN Mortgage Corporation. MCAN is a publicly traded, federally regulated financial institution and the only Mortgage Investment Company with CDIC Deposit Insurance access. He led the corporation through significant growth and the development of its corporate infrastructure. This resulted in expanded products and lending capabilities to create an attractive business model which delivered a solid track record of financial performance and positioned the company for growth opportunities.

Mr. Jandrisits was a member of the Investment Committee of the KingSett High Yield Fund from the fund inception in 2014 to August 2019. KingSett is Canada’s leading private equity real estate investment business and owns interests in over $8 billion of assets.

Mr. Jandrisits spent over 4 years at Starwood Capital Group in Greenwich, Connecticut. While at Starwood he held positions as Director of Finance and Director of Investor Relations & Strategic Initiatives – Canada. He was responsible for all debt capital market activities, including, the origination, structuring, and execution of asset-level and fund/corporate-level financing activities. Starwood Capital Group Global, LLC is a privately held investment management firm that specializes in real estate related investments on behalf of select private and institutional investment partners.

Mr Jandrisits held the position of Managing Director, North American Real Estate for RBC Financial Group. During his 13-year tenure with RBC, he was responsible for various aspects of real estate lending activities in Canada at RBC Bank and in the United States at RBC Centura. He was head of RBC Banking’s North American Real Estate Group, responsible for lending operations including loan production and portfolio monitoring and management of financial performance. He managed commercial markets real estate lending, builder finance, commercial mortgages and mortgage trading. Acted as Chairman of the Real Estate Capital Commitments Committee, the banks real estate operating committee. He also provided senior-level expertise related to evaluating real estate markets and structuring complex transactions.

Mr. Jandrisits holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and is a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
